Visionary: Jenny Cullinan/Ujubee

Location: South Africa

Focus: Wild Bee Conservation

Help make the Wild Bee Reserve possible.

In her research travels across South Africa, the wild bee researcher Jenny Cullinan discovered a rare sanctuary in the Karoo desert region—17,000 acres holding a rich living convergence of wild bee populations, flora, and other keystone species in need of protection.

Establishing this special place as the world’s first wild bee reserve offers a direct opportunity not only to protect this land as a vital ecosystem and wildlife corridor but also a safe space where Jenny can center her ongoing revolutionary work and research into the bees themselves.

With the support of her brother, esteemed nature rights lawyer Cormac Cullinan, Jenny also plans to establish the reserve with the land holding its own direct rights as a legal living entity.
