Last month, when I met with some friends, we wanted to do some activity, so we went hiking to a known location in Potrero popularly known as “Ojo de Agua”. We had heard about the location, however we didn’t know how to get there or how far it was. We followed a dirt road around of around kilometer and a half until we reached a smaller path through the forest. We walked through it, crossing many small streams, and through the rain, until after another around three kilometers we got to this known place. It was a small waterfall, which fell into a small but deep lake. The nice location was worth the walk through the forest and the rain, we stayed there for a while and then walked back, barefoot through the rocky path. Although it was painful to walk barefoot in the path full of rocks, it was a nice walk and it was some practice for climbing chirrup to a certain extent. This reminded me of the CAS aspect of activity, and how important it is to stay active. The barefoot walk through the tough path, was a way to see the challenges in CAS or IB in general and how we as students face many challenges but we have to use our strengths to continue until success.
