Amanda- Journal Entry August 10th, 2020

As part of the activity section of CAS I decided to try an exercise I usually don't practice which is yoga. I decided to follow a video titled “Total Body Yoga- Deep stretch | Yoga with Adriene” since it had been I was looking which was full-body stretch. I layed out my mat and continued to follow the video, however, it was not as easy as I was expecting it to be. My shape was worse than I imagined and that resulted in shakiness and lack of flexibility from my part as I hurriedly tried to follow her directions. My effort was all worth it after the 45 minutes finished and my body was relaxed with blood freely circulating through me. After that deep scratch the next activity was waiting for me which was a full body workout. Using an app that tracks my weight and BMI I did a full body workout that makes you exercise for 14 minutes straight. I started the exercises and was so in the moment I didn't realize I was going faster than I should've and wasn't doing the sets entirely. I shortened my pace and started doing the work outs with more patience and went all the way while doing them. The reason why I love working out in the shade so much is because it helps my skin. When I do an intense workout routine and sweat a lot I notice that my skin looks better, tt looks clearer and smoother. The effects of my workout were shown on my skin afterward, which thanked me for sweating a lot that day.
