Amanda- Remote Learning Human Resource Project Reflection week 3 May 23 2020

This week I was able to meet with Mr. Kevin Thursday in the morning. He talked to me about the different topics in physics the 10th graders have seen so far as well as the basic concepts I should know before giving a lesson. Additionally, he demonstrated some of the examples he has been giving his class about the correlation between height, mass, and elastic energy. I proceeded to tell him my next steps were to start doing the lesson plan and figure out a way to effectively evaluate the student’s understanding. The lab gives them the autonomy to chose their own results since there are many options to pick from, however, I’m still not sure if I should give them some autonomy in the way they would like to be evaluated. At the end of the call, I could ask them if they would like to make a mindmap with their results and conclusions or if they would prefer creating their own similar example and apply the second law of newton to it. I will continue to work on my lesson plan and find a way to effectively evaluate the students that works both for the class and me.
