Building my team

Throughout the first year of CAS, I worked with my classmate Daniel, who had similar ideas for a project, which made the perfect opportunity for us to work collaboratively in the events and plannings during eleventh grade. This really showed me the benefits of working collaboratively, as it was easier to have two people working on the project, and it allowed the division of labor. We both used hard working skills, and I also learned some leadership skills to work with my classmate. Other important people who helped me out during the first steps of my project were the people in Connect Ocean, especially Sarah, who was in charge of these environmental engagements. They were always very welcoming to us when participating in their events, and helping us plan ours. Alex from Makes Me Happy also was important for my plans for the project such as the plans to install trash bins and start a recycling program, however, these plans had to be stalled due to the pandemic.
