New Challenges – As I have said before, contacting local business is much harder than I had originally thought and assumed. A new challenge that has come up for me is finding my second prime material to build my surf wax, local, sustainable and organic coconut oil. I have recently found a new supplier for bees wax, and am working on building a relationship with them. Unfortunately they don’t sell coconut oil, so I have to work on finding a new local business for it.
Overcoming Challenges – I have contacted two so far, and one hasn’t given a response, and the other is an unsustainable brand shipped in from outside of Costa Rica, which falls out of my goals and objectives within this project.
New Skills – I have learned many new Spanish communication skills over these past few weeks. I got these skills from contacting multiple company’s and local business owners. This has been great for me and I feel like theses skills are going to help me greatly ion the future inside and outside of school situations!
Values – The values I hold close (new and old) are the connections and relationships I am building within my community through this project. I have meet new people and found amazing organizations I didn’t know about.
