Christmas

It’s November, which means a little more than a month until the CEPIA Christmas Party! I have been working on m the IUD project and just completed an insertion weekend I will continue working on this project and help Geneva with anything she needs, however due to the time of year I will now be using the majority of my energy to help with the CEPIA Christmas party. This means advertising, speaking to businesses, wrapping presents, raining money, making trees, organizing the event, and finding more people to help. At this time in the year we start putting out the trees at different businesses with card with children’s name, wish, and age. Once this is done, it is time to find donations and see who is willing to hepp. Due to problems we experience last year we have been collecting gifts all year round, specifically ones that are harder or more expensive to purchase here. The party will be around December 20, which means that the gifts must be ready before then. This year we don’t have all of the volunteers from last year. THis means training people and helping to teach them how this most effectively works. The next couple of weeks are going to be packed with advertising, buying, asking for donations, and organizing when and what needs to be done. Due to my moms and my experience with the event I believe we can make it better than the years before however there are always independent variables that we aren’t always equipt for. This year we hope to get more of the kids wishes and make more extravagant presents. With the help of advertising and other volunteers I believe we can do this.
