Creative Vacation Journal Entry _ Grace Herman

August 13th, 2020 At the being of summer, my best friend and I made a list of all the things we wanted to do over break. Super random ideas to keep us entertained. One of them was to make homemade pizza. One night we decided to make pizza for my family. Whenever we cook together we usually fight about how to do and I usually think it isn't gonna work out and then it turns out pretty great. This pizza was no different. We had a few bumps in the road. First, we didn't put enough flour in the dough so it was super sticky, but after some kneading and more flour we got it to what we assumed was the right consistency. Second, it didn't rise as much as we thought it would so we didn't think we would have enough food for my whole family. Third, we were just really worried we made the dough wrong and that it would taste disgusting. However, we put on the toppings and popped it in the oven and it came about beautiful and delicious. As I write this I'm fighting the urge to go get a snack, thinking about it is making me hungry. In the end, it was really fun to do something creative with our time and we got some killer pizza out of it.
