Creativity Break Journal Entry

At the beginning of break, beaches were still open only in the morning, until 9:30. It was nice to go to the beach after they were closed for a while, although it was way to early, there wasn’t even much sun at that time. To be able to get some sun, I started going fishing on my parent’s boats, as they were not operating due to the lack of tourism. This used to be something I really enjoyed when I was younger and the government measures have brought me to do this again. Once the beaches reopened until 2:30 p.m. I used my creativity to combine two of my favorite water sports and try to go fishing on a paddle board. I went from the far end of Playa Penca to the location of the new marina in Flamingo. It was definitely a challenge as there was strong winds and currents and it was difficult to handle the paddle and the fishing pole together, however, it was a unique experience. This thought me that I can retake anything that I enjoyed in the past and do it again, and that I can combine my passions no matter how complicated it seems. It also made me realize that after a while of not being able to go to the beach, I definitely missed it.
