Update: Culture / Motivation
Culture / Motivation
The core values that have guided my project are passion, enthusiasm and have evolved into certain ideas and values of education. This project has been built based on topics that I am passionate about, investing and math. This has given me motivation but also has allowed me to be proud of my project. Although as I evaluated these passions the ways I could use them to benefit my community was through education, me being an educator had never appealed to me but I realized that with subjects that I love, it comes quite easily. Within this project specifically, the investment club, creating a cultural bridge where ideas of investing in the stock market have been hard. This led me to want to have budgeting conferences but led me to what I could do at the most basic level for finance: math help. Within my project, the subjects that have designed my projects are subjects that people rarely have a strong passion for (especially math) and have challenged my ability to reach my community at a larger scale. Overall for me, this project has been a great joy, and even just two weeks into hosting my clubs in person my motivation is much higher and the clubs are much more enjoyable as collaboration is much easier and leads to a stronger sense of belonging within a club.
