One thing that I really wanted to do at the beginning of this year was to get rid of all of the things that I didn’t need and start fresh. I especially make sure to do this after I’ve bought new things so that whenever I am receiving something, I’m also giving something in return. To start, I decided to go through my whole closet and get rid of anything that didn’t fit me or that I didn’t like anymore. I wasn’t completely sure of where to donate it, but I’ve decided to donate everything to the garage sales that my mom often does. She sells things that we don’t need for really affordable prices to people in our neighborhood so that they can get clothes that are in good condition for way cheaper than they could at most stores. I really admire that so I decided that that would be one of the ways that I could give back to the community. I ended up giving away 19 different things that will go to people who need them more than me. Another thing that I did this break was try to pick up any trash that I saw while walking through town and throwing it away, especially while I was in the states. It’s a simple way to help make the community a tiny bit better every day.
Note: I wanted to include an image I had in this entry, but it kept showing up upside down and I couldn’t figure out how to fix it.
