Did everyone agree with my project? If not, how did I justify my approach?
How might my project stir an ethical debate? What about my project could be ethically
debated or questioned?
Did my actions respect the moral rights of
everyone? Explain.
For the most part, all the feedback I have received has been positive or constructive. My project is very positive and it is very easy to see physical evidence of how CRR is changing people’s lives for the better. One of the few ethical concerns that I have been dealing with is the money from my Go-Fund-Me can only be collected by a US bank account meaning that it won’t go directly to CRR. My goal is to raise $2000 for CRR and the more the better, however, on the off chance my project exceeds my expectations and raises much more I need to decide how to handle that. If my project makes $5000 then there would be no issue but if even 1000 people donate that is equal to $100,000, the odds of this happening are quite low but is still an issue to consider. An idea I had to incentivize people to donate was to let them see the family that they would be giving a garden to either in photos or on a live call but Sio brought up that this would be potentially very degrading to the families, and they could feel obligated to be over-grateful. For this reason, the photos that we have will be of the garden instead of the house or family to preserve their dignity.
