Feb. 4, 2022 – What makes you really excited about your project?

Why is this project important to you?

This project is important to me because it provides the opportunity to kids who otherwise would be unable to dance. Dance is a big part of my life and has influenced the way I work in the studio and out. I have learned valuable lessons and gained skills that will help me throughout my life such as determination, patience, responsibility, work ethic, and respect. These skills will be super beneficial for these kids and potentially help them accomplish things they otherwise believed to be impossible.

Has it made you even more passionate about your project? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, this extension of my project has made me more passionate about it because I am now providing a greater service to my community. Initially, I was only helping the dance community and studio, which was great but allowing others to participate in this project and art makes it that much better.

What have you learned about this issue that you are solving that everyone should know?

Oftentimes only people who have the necessary resources to pay for an activity can do it. Underprivileged people who lack resources such as cash or transportation have limited involvement in certain activities because of it. This is why it is crucial for people to participate in helping the community in order to provide equal opportunities to everyone.
