FUNDRAISERS FOR SHOW!!

First I would like to mention that I’m extremely excited because the show is super close!. I am so grateful to have found a place to do it. It is going to be at Rip Jack Inn, the same place where CAS night is going to be, on saturday Nov 23rd at 6:00pm the show is going to kick off the event!. The ticket is $25, which includes dinner and $5 from those $25 are for my Fashion for Scholarships project!. I am also looking into having appetizers, which is the whole point of the fundraiser that I did last week. For Halloween at La Paz we do a “día de las mascaradas” that way all cultures can be included and feel comfortable; so I had the idea along with my mom of doing candy grams, with the same idea of valentines candy grams but for around Halloween time. They each cost 500 colones (which is a little less than $1). I am happy to say that it was a total success, even teachers bought them. I passed the majority out during the mascaradas event, and the rest I passed them out on Monday for the people who didn’t attend the event. I almost forgot to mention that I also did a bake sale about 2 weeks ago for the same purpose of raising funds to buy appetizers and the project overall.

On another note this Saturday I am going to the hotel with my mom to check out the space for the show, and have a more clear idea of how we are going to organize it. I am having a meeting with all the girls tomorrow, I sent an email to their teachers and I made a schedule with all the important dates that they should remember, We are having a dress rehearsal next Saturday November  16th, the time is TBD because that is something that we are going to discuss tomorrow to see what’s the time that best fits everyone’s schedule. Other than that this weekend I am going to figure out the music, and decided which appetizers I am going to have and how much they cost. I am also almost done with the flyer for the show, tomorrow I am going to take a picture of the twins that are in the show since their dress matches de flyer. I can’t wait, I am doing my best to manage my time with school due to all the assignments that are due soon, yet so far so good I have studied lots for all my recent tests and I am proud of myself so I just have to keep going.
