Starting to work on the project felt like a beginning of something. I was ambitious and wanted to reach my objectives with the project. I was a little scared, because it also marked the beginning of the IB years, including CAS. But it also was a good feeling to start working on something I was passionate about. After living here for many years, and having my family owning a fishing and scuba business, I have always felt connected to the ocean, and I felt that this project was an opportunity to help the oceans where I grew up. As I was scared to get behind, I started working immediately and started planning what I was going to do in the trimester, the year, and the whole CAS process, which all ended changing with the pandemic and other factors. It was a good beginning to a project I feel proud of.
