Global Significance

How do you make a difference in your community? The difference we are making is inspiring young people and bringing dance/arts back into our community. This is important because this community and the world has been lacking in the performing arts due to the global pandemic. What are you doing to create change? Providing dance opportunities in our community and offering the dancers at our studio to learn from their peers and become inspired by our creativity and giving them a space to express themselves. Can you show the process that you are going through to do that? What are the obstacles? How are you getting through them? We started out by helping out with our dance studios first annual show science covid and gave dancers an extra opportunity to perform in the show by choreographing dances. Some of our obstacles were covid protocols and changing our plans from our initial idea of helping kids in poverty have dance opportunities to fit our busy schedules and time frame. We got through them with strong communication and teamwork. How does your project demonstrate engagement in global significance? Our project is very focused on our community and their needs but our hope is to inspire other communities to think about the arts and involve them in their community. We are touching on global topics or significance with Covid 19 and the importance of kids being able to find an outlet through dance.
