Ocean Is Not A Dump. 

This a simple statement that many people don’t care about. 

We seek to compose solutions for ocean pollution and extend the project around different communities working collaboratively to raise awareness. We want to work with the past (pick up trash), present (place trash cans in beaches for people to have an accessible place to put their waste), and future (education). 

Beaches in Guanacaste are lacking trash bins and this is the main reason of pollution in marine areas. We want to make nice and durable trash bins which people can easily access and don’t damage the image of local beaches. 

To make them nice and effective we are in need of $350 which will work for trash bins in at least 3 local beaches. This may also work to cover costs of beach clean ups (bags, snacks for volunteers, transportation). 

We hope to achieve our goal of having an effective waste management system in at least 3 beaches before the end of 2020. 

We expect to accomplish this as well as organizing clean ups in different beaches and having workshops in local schools to educate future generations on how to take care of the environment.
