HR Project Reflection Week 2

I think that the assignments from this week’s project have taught me about the values that one needs to have in order to make a difference in people’s lives, no matter how you choose to do so. Looking at the article about “soft skills” (which is strange that they are called that because they are all so essential), I have learned that there is so much that goes into each and every one of those skills that distinguish a good employee from a great one. This definitely relates to the idea of being principled because, in order to have integrity and do the right thing, you have to understand how to have those attributes and how you can contribute yourself to the world.

While researching for sources to include in my Research Document, I learned about the challenges and responsibilities that come with taking part in my project. This is why I value these soft skills so much because they inspire me and give me ideas about how I can approach these challenges in an effective way. However, what stood out to me more than the difficult aspects was the benefit of being able to teach others and become close with them even in a situation where we are far apart. I think that this is an important aspect of being a risk-taker because even if you are scared about what negative things could happen, you just have to go all-in whenever you are presented with an opportunity because the positive things will almost always outweigh the risks.
