HR Reflection 8

On one of the last weeks of the project, I’ve been starting to wrap up and finish learning and applying the business content. I’ve started to wrap up and reflect on all of the project with the presentation we have to make as a final reflection. I started making a video showing my work and reflecting on my work and progress in the past 8 weeks. This is an effective way to review everything I’ve learned and indirectly studying for the final exam next week. I used some of the knowledge I’ve gained in answering the case study in this week’s assignment. I had to write about organizational structures and a change on a college however I also applied some of the Human Resources content such as training or motivation and productivity. This was also an effective way to study for the exam and reviewing as well as checking for my personal understanding. As of the organization. This Thursday I volunteered in the organization’s project in CEPIA. I was supposed to help organize the products they buy with donations and receive them from the suppliers, however they came late and I had to leave for school. During the time I was there, I helped them answer the hundreds of WhatsApp messages they received from people requesting the donations. I had to check the messages and send out the questionnaire they had to fill in. This was very impacting as they are very poor families who have trouble reading or writing and at the same time explain their situation. It was impacting to read people say how they illegally crossed the border a few days ago or how they don’t have money for food in a household of over 7 people. This really motivated to keep helping and put my effort so that these families are able to receive the help and donations they need. In general it was a good week, with a lot of progress and reviewing to start finishing the project.
