This week we spoke to our mentor Gaby and set up a date, Saturday, to sit down and discuss how many dancers we want, how many dances we want, and how many hours we need before the show. Next we brainstormed songs we wanted to use for the show. Choosing and finding songs is actually a hard but important process when you are making a choreo because you have to make sure it fits the style you are going for but that it also inspires you to choreograph. One song I found very interesting that I will be using is called A Palé by Rosalia because it is contemporary but not in your typical sad, emotional way. That means that it will give depth and variety to our performance. We each settled on at least one song we want to use and will discuss more on Saturday with Gaby.
