“Cuidemonos” is designed to help others. The main idea of this project is to accelerate the process of attendance in the CCSS. From past experiences, it is possible to see how long it takes for a patient to be an attendant in a public hospital. Because I have family members who are doctors, I was able to come up with a plan that benefits our community. I took my time to research the main needs of the community and talked to my aunt that helped me prepare a full plan of what exactly the project is about. We finally decided that the project was targeted to people with diabetes who need an electrocardiogram because they have heart issues from diabetes. Because I wanted to make an impactful change I decided that we are going to perform 350 exams. This is a large number of people which means that we need more than two doctors. My aunt helped me by contacting three friends of hers that liked the idea of the project.
The project is going in a good direction, Dr. Abelardo let us borrow his clinic, which is where the campaign will be performed. This will happen on the 16th and 17th of May of the present year. I am really excited to see the product of this project. I have worked really hard because there is a lot of logistics involved in this project. Working hand to hand with others has taught me many skills and have let me practice many other skills that I already had discovered before. This project is something I’m passionate about because I love to help people in any way I can, and when it comes to their health for a longer and healthier life, I feel successful. It is important to point out that I’m only starting and it will have many obstacles in the road, but because it is something I enjoy doing, I know I will do the best to stand up and keep working hard. I have many questions of how this will end, as well as how impactful this project will actually be. I know I will be able to answer all these questions by the end of the project, and I know I will feel good about everything I did.
