January Journal Entry

My goal for the trimester is to raise funds to donate metal straws to the first soda, as well as having a big clean-up towards the end of the trimester and start the new part of the project which will provide low-resource entrepreneurs with free marketing. I will accomplish these goals by working hard in finding different ways to raise funds and contacting the soda once I have the funds. To accomplish the big clean-up goal, I will keep brainstorming and start contacting local businesses to take part on the event and try to get donations for the prizes we will give away. This two weeks have been crucial for brainstorming and having a clear idea of what we have to do and set up dates and deadlines for events and things we have to do for our project. Although we have not taken action in this two weeks, we have our first clean-up coming up next weekend, which shows how we planned and initiate an activity. We also had a small meeting with fourth grade teacher Mr. Dodge to plane a presentation for the land and sea unit. Our progress in the last two weeks connects to the thinker IB profile, as we have carefully thought and brainstormed and analyzed our ideas to make sure that we are proficient this trimester. We will make sure that we follow our plan and deadlines to prevent spending more than two weeks without an activity.
