Journal Entry #1: The Future is Bright

My goals for my CAS experience is for me to put a smile on a child’s face when my partner and I give them the opportunity to explore a completely different part of the world and open their perspectives of different cultures there are within that specific country. I will change the community around me by giving an opportunity to a child in need. This project won’t help a group of people but it will help one to two kids and to me, helping at least one person is the most gifting experience a human being could have. This project is extremely important to me because it has made me realize how lucky I am to have a family that puts food in front of me, to have a roof over me and to explore the world without hesitation, this project connects with me in a deeper level because I wanna give a child the same opportunity that I have but this time with actually having a purpose, which is to allow a person to see the world in a different way. I feel like giving a person this opportunity will change my perspective of the position I am in the world. This project has given me the opportunity to give back in an unbelievable manner, by allowing a person to see the world in their own way. I can convince a University or job experience that comes after High School that I am a good fit for their organization by applying all my knowledge and past experience regarding my CAS project, background experience revolving in specific expertise of my choice and finally expressing my strengths and skills that come with working with peers or groups of people to show how I can cooperate with my fellow associates.
