1. What is the meaning of CAS to you? Why is it something that is required by the IB and the MEP? Why did you choose to do your project? What resources are available to help you succeed?
The meaning of CAS is to make a project that helps benefit a community, or group. This is required because its a great way for students to form a project based on their interests while giving back to the community.
2. How has CAS changed because of COVID? Or has it? Have the communities needs changed? If so, how? If not, explain.
CAS has absolutely changed with Covid, along with the needs of our communities. Projects are getting changed and tweaked, (including mine) to be flexible around this global pandemic.
3. Evaluate the project that you are doing. Talk about it with your group. Have your group give you feedback and insight. Does it still make sense now? If not, why? Is so, how?
My group gave helpful feedback, which was recommending me to focus harder on my employment goal. I am planning to dive more into this because many people in my community have been unemployed because of this pandemic. It makes total sense to continue with this as long as we take precautions going forward.
4. What are the first steps? How are you going to show progress by next week? How will you going to manage my time?
Now that we are working online, I have more time to cantact other companies and focus on getting more and new products for my wax.
5. How can you make the time that you are doing CAS, time that is not in front of a screen? Is that possible with your project? Is there something that you can create without much screen time? And how do we document it?
I have already been documenting through videos posted monthly on my Wonderment, so that will not be much of a problem!
