Journal Entry: What did I accomplish I this trimester?

What was the sum of your CAS experience this quarter? During this quarter my CAS experience has been extended more in a way in which now there is a stronger clarification within our trip to the United States, we still have to raise funds but we will not stop fighting to move forward, although there are many things who want us to change our mind. How did you use your strengths to do something this quarter? One of the strengths that we use within this quarter has been communication, since we have been communicating with many people from abroad, in order to program ideas based on the uses that may come and go in the future. What challenges did you take on? The challenges I assumed were sending emails and not really having a positive response where it makes us think that not everything can be done, and we have to have a plan b, to be able to make a trip within Costa Rica if there is no possibility to be able to take the kids to the USA. What aspects of your project show that you demonstrated perseverance and commitment to your project? One of the aspects that showed perseverance for all of us was meeting with Abby, where she clarified many situations where we have to be stronger and have more perseverance to achieve many things within our project. The perseverance and commitment for both of us have changed us since we have the commitment with the kids who already know that they will have the possibility of traveling with us and that we are going to stick with those ideas to achieve more things. How many hours did you spend on your project outside of class? What did you do and why was it necessary to do something outside of the classroom for the project to move forward? The hours we dedicated to the project were 3 days a week we would talk about if we needed something necessary and the other days we would spend some hours talking about what was necessary to be done for the next few days. What would you have done differently? I believe that during our project I would not change anything or do something different since without a doubt everything happens for a reason and we have had a lot of prosperity to continue forward without having to change something. But I think I would have changed the way we communicate with the kids because I think it was too early to talk to them from my perspective ... What are you really proud of? I am very proud of how far we have been able to go since it has not been an easy path and full of beautiful answers, since this whole situation of the covid-19 has closed the doors for many activities and things to plan.
