Throughout my CAS project I have had to work hard around obstacles that Covid caused. The largest obstacle that I had was not being able to get to Costa Rica. I started working on my CAS project much later than everyone else in my class did. Now that I am here I have been able to progress my project by working with Barbara. I have had to work with her on small projects before she let me do larger projects like fostering dogs and working at her spay and neuter clinics. I can use this lesson later on in life because I have to realize that it takes a lot of time to advance up the hierarchy in any sort of business. I also learned that trust is an important part of working with others. If you look at Maslow’s hierarchy of needs it shows what you need to be motivated. I might not get paid or any bonuses, but I do get the comoderity and even some sort of self actualization now that I am able to work more freely with Barbara. With everything I have been doing I am able to work hard with Barbara to help her out as much as I can. I included a screenshot of Barbara and I having a conversation about a dog I am fostering. She asked me my opinion on giving the dog more medicine for a cough. She let me decide whether or not I should give it to her and then when I said yes she respected my idea and even thought it was a good idea. I have been able to share my opinion with Barbara more now than ever.
