Mentor Questions

Questions to ask mentor, Andrina Fonseca: With awnsers

  • What is your best time of the week to meet with you to go over our progress and future projects?

Mid Week Wednesday or Thursday morning before work and school.

  • In what ways do you demonstrate your feedback, is it straight up or more implicit. This would allow me to see in what areas you are correcting me if it is going over my head.

“More implicitly I would always push my employees to come up with the conclusion on their own. I am a big believer in being self made; critical thinkers”.

  • Do you like receiving credit for your work at the time of publishing?

Of course everyone does, however, I also like to give credit to the people that help me. They are also part of the team

  • What image would you like to portray on your social media accounts?

That of a community; a local business one that strives to empower those around them and at the same time give out quality work to customers. However, on Instagram I prefer to show the interesting design aesthetics we make.

Talk about how it has made you grow and develop as a learner.

Asking these questions I have learned that many people share the same qualities and don’t at the same time. My mentor shares their criticism and feedback implicitly not like I do where I would be straight up. This taught me to be more open minded and be more cautious when it comes to looking for feedback. It is good to have a reminder that people are different and it allows one to get out of their head; as a healthy reminder.
