MID Trimester 1 journal entry

I think we’re just a little behind on our Gantt chart considering we missed so many CAS classes and working alongside one another makes it much easier to move forward. Even though we missed a lot of classes, my partner and I worked hard in class to make sure we were somewhat caught up with our chart. Our Gantt chart I believe was fairly well detailed and I don’t believe we forgot anything too big that we needed to add. As I said, we’re a little behind because of all the classes we missed but I strongly believe that in the next week or two we can get caught up to everything and be on track to host a successful event. As we have gone through half a trimester already I’m proud of how much work my partner and I were able to accomplish during our class time as I think it has been essential to get us where we are right now. I’m also very proud of the fact that we were able to get such a good venue so fast as I thought it was something we were going to struggle on. Something I do believe we could have done better was our decision-making. My partner and I at the beginning saw different visions for the project which affected our effectiveness when making decisions about the future of the project. The different visions of the project between my partner and I caused problems when making decisions which affected the overall speed of the process. What could be done in the future is set our vision clear before heading out into our project and making important decisions which affect the project’s future. As we develop as a project, my partner and I are realizing what is effective and what isn’t when doing projects like these. Knowing what to do and what not to do will definitely affect our tactics and the way we do things as we want to be as effective as possible when carrying out projects like these.
