Minute to Win It _ Grace Herman

September 29th, 2019

This last week at Terraza we had a student leadership meeting and then a “minute to win it” game night. On Monday the 23rd we had a meeting to plan the “minute to win it” game night. Our student leadership team has grown which is positive but also negative. The fact that it is growing shows the strides we are making and the connections Terraza is creating this is all positive. But negatively it is taking away the owner us as CAS students have over this project and we aren’t able to help at our full potential. It puts us, Cata, Anastasia, Jade and myself at the point as any other student when we are fully committed to this project and are willing to do more. This is frustrating and I haven’t figured out how to communicate it to Ashley but it’s something that needs to be done. This project is a work in process and we are learning how to communicate and how to work together and it’s hard for all of us but are team is sticking together and we are going to figure out how to communicate Ashely with better.

On a more positive note our “minute to win it” game night. was a success. It was odd we got a whole different crowd, a huge group of people who have never been to a Terraza event before. The whole senior class showed up and were super into our weird crazy games. I never expected them to come and I didn’t think they would enjoy themselves but they were all saying I’m “so glad I came”, That was so much fun”, etc. It was cool. It was a different demographic we hadn’t hit yet, but they showed up. Now it’s time for me and Cata to get the whole Junior class there.

Thanks for reading,

Grace
