My summer service

Over the summer my family and I have donated a lot of our clothes that either don't fit us or we don't have use for anymore. We donate a lot of it to other families of La Paz or neighbors. I went through all of my clothes and separated it into two different piles, one of clothes I want to keep and one of clothes I want to give away. We like donating because it gives all our clothes another use and it may help other families who might need more clothing. I know that especially now everything is harder, since there's a huge pandemic and a lot of people work in tourism related jobs which puts them and their families at a lot of risk, and some people might not have jobs which relates to my CAS project because I want to teach women to sew which would give them an opportunity to sell their work. I think I exhibited the reflective IB learner outcome and the Learning Outcome 4, because while I made my piles and donated my clothes it made me think about what else I might want to teach, I want to maybe teach the women how to make a t-shirt as well because making clothing is also great to learn and they could both wear it or sell it.

That is great that you were able to clean out your closets and also give something back to the community that we live in.
