Our first event! Success!

This weekend we held the first event hosted by TownFlippers. It was a dog walk to the next beach along with a raffle, sale of dog biscuits and some fun.

Saturday morning, the boys were ready and exited for the event. They were all there on time and they had the necessary items that they were in charge of. The dog biscuits had been primed the night before and packaged. They brought the raffle tickets and I brought the certificates for the prizes. Eitan had written his speech and started the event off with some words of thanks and explanation.

I actually think that it went off without a hitch. People showed up, all the dog biscuits were sold, we made some money for future events, people were very happy with the raffle prizes. We can definitely continue to think about ways to get people together and work on talking to adults in the community. We have some good ideas for next steps and I don't want to loose momentum but February has some challenges.

This week, we are meeting with the new pickleball pro at Las Catalinas and playing pickleball. I am hoping that we can talk him into a night of dinks and drinks... We need to find a good time for that. We also need to reflect on the event. I think after pickleball we will go to Nate's house and do a quick reflection and a bit of planning before the evening is over.

All in all, a great job by all people involved!
