Planning and initiating our event

Our CAS project was a great success and the show created an impact on both the audience and the dancers. Planning the event was difficult but fun because we got to see our choreographies and the show come together as we did the project. Our strength in planning was the IB learner profile traits of communication especially between each other and our mentor. One aspect that I didn’t enjoy was having to take care of the little kids on the day of the show because they were crazy but I know it had to be done by someone. The purpose of this activity was to bring the community together and expose them to the performing arts and dance which have greatly suffered during covid in our community and in the world. It was hard to find a location because our local school with a stage, CRIA, would not let us use their stage and the other venue had many limitations due to covid. Because of this there was a stage built in the parking lot of where our studio is and it actually turned out really nice. One downside is that we had to spend a lot of time in the hot sun setting up chairs. But overall it turned out amazing! The video I added was to show the choreography we made together on the stage.
