Update: Possible Mentoring Opportunity for the Project........
Possible Mentoring Opportunity for the Project……..
Tebogo saw a televised report of an Elephant Conservation Panel event that occurred in Botswana. He recognized Dr. Keoikantse Sianga PhD, a panel member, as a former classmate from his school days. After reconnecting, Tebogo plans to travel to Gabarone to meet with Dr. Sianga at BAUN (Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources) to discuss the Mowana/Elephant issue and hopefully gain insights that can inform Tebogo's approach to Mowana Rehabilitation. A quick summary shows why this may be a productive discussion: Dr. Sianga's PhD was on Natural Resources Management focusing on the seasonal foraging patterns of large herbivores. In addition to his research experience he has worked for the NGO Communities Living Among Wildlife Sustainably Conservancy (CLAWS) and chairs governmental committees informing policy on Elephant conservation management - more details in the above image. Stay tuned for updates.........
