Project Update and SMART GOAL

At the beginning of this project I am feeling overwhelmed because there is a lot to get done but I am also excited to create something and involve the community by giving Elevate dancers an opportunity to dance. Some strategies I am using are communication skills to get help manage all the work between my team and my mentors. I am also using dedication because the more dedicated I am to this project the better it will turn out. 

We are involving the community in many ways. The dance community will be involved because we will give dancers an opportunity to perform especially science they have had limited opportunities during covid. Also to give our community a performance that brings up relevant global issues. We have a mentor that is willing to support us and we have emailed the dance studio in hope of their support. In the end all the proceeds will go back to the studio and help for this upcoming competition season. 

SMART GOAL

Specific: Our goal is to earn money by putting on a production in our community in order to fundraise for a new floor at our studio and support their scholarship kids. 

Measurable: Money we earn.  #of participants both dancers and guests. 

Attainable: Work with mentors and Elevate Movement Studio. Use teamwork and dedication. 

Relevant: Giving the dancers a chance to perform since they have not been able to through covid. 

Timely: May/June

Goal: Create a dance production for May of 2022 demonstrating relevant issues around the world by collaborating with Elevate movement studio and our mentors. Provide Elevate dancers with opportunity to perform while fundraising to give back to the studio in the form of supporting the competition team dancers and a new floor.
