Update: Reflection For Week 6 of the HR Project
Reflection For Week 6 of the HR Project
This week I continued progressing with both IB content and helping the organization. With two content videos this week, I continued to learn about motivational theories, this tie with the equity theory. This allowed me to gain knowledge on how input and outcome have to be balanced and the different consequences that come when there is no equity. It also made me think on how equity may happen due to disceimination, which is something that could be prevented through laws. I also deepened my understanding of financial and non-financial rewards and what each of them was with the impact on the employee. By connecting this to each of the theories, I was able to understand each theory better through the lens of rewards that the motivation method suggested by the theory brings.
I continued to work on the organization party of the project. This week I communicated with Juan Sio from Connect Ocean to volunteer for his project which is donating food to CEPIA. I was able to sign up as a volunteer and plan my attendance in next week’s food collection on Thursday and delivery on Friday. This will allow me to directly work with the organization next week. I also resumed the google forms I was making and I have it almost done to ask a few questions to the employees about their motivation during these difficult times. In general it was another week full of progress and I look forward to continue progressing on both content and the application of it through the organization.
