Update: Scavenger Hunt - Cata Gdvc
Scavenger Hunt – Cata Gdvc
Today was the first Scavenger Hunt of the year. I was super excited about this event because last year it was super successful and crazy! The event started at 3 pm and ended at 5! About 16 teenagers showed up for the event with a lot of energy and positive vibes. I enjoy planning events so that as a result I can see teenagers smiling and having fun. While planning this event, I was able to practice my communication skills. Last year, the communication between the group was ineffective and it didn’t feel like we were all on the same page. This is why I made sure that for this event I knew everything that was going to happen and I could be held accountable by my peers. The communication between our group is something we are trying to improve and I am willing to be more open-minded and less judgy in order for this to happen. Overall, the event was enjoyable, I got to see how teenagers ran around Tamarindo and got out of their comfort zone to achieve a goal. Working with youth allows me to feel proud of myself for trying to make a change in the community I lie I think teenagers are the most amazing human beings and they should embrace their uniqueness and craziness. As a teenager, Terraza gives me empowerment and I am glad I get to work with such amazing people for a better outcome in the town.
