During the following break of december, this an opportunity for Terazza to show its true colours due to high season in tamarindo through collaborative and reciprocal engagement with the community in response to a genuine need. Terraza this break will help and further enhance its image by collaborating in a fundraiser for “ conectando corazones de santa rosa.” The purpose of this project is to take a picture with Santa at Surf Shack which is a restaurant in Tamarindo, once the picture is taken it is uploaded to facebook and then donate 5000colones or 10$ for the children of Santa Rosa to have a merrier christmas. Terraza stands for the protection, promotion and support of teenagers meaning the importance of safety, meeting new people and having a time during your day where you can have a fun time with your friends. Supporting and helping a cause likewise, will allow Terraza to project the importance of support the youth in every aspect whether it is socially or academically. Terraza promotes the growth and learning opportunities that teenagers can grasp upon in order to further become more knowledgeable through cultural exchange and having a time in your week to meet new people. In order for the public to be aware of this, taking action such as supporting and helping out a fundraiser will prove to the public that Terraza genuinely supports what they stand for. It’s crucial to take action and be apart of activities provided by different communities and show what the youth center stands for to not only gain recognition but to fulfill the purpose of CAS not only for myself but it also allows me to grow as a person and be more grateful. I get to spend christmas every year with my family, and receive the most beautiful gifts that I am eternally grateful for, however some of these kids living in these communities have a lack of basic resources in their everyday lives preventing them from spending a beautiful christmas which is truly despairing and allows me to further involve myself and my project to grow as a person and allow my project to grow with me.
