Service

My service experience over the break was by far the most unique, I worked alongside Vamos Youth, an organization that I have worked with as a student before in their junior lifeguarding program. It was a very interesting experience and very different than what I had remembered as a kid, showing an interesting development in the program. Never the less it was super fun to help these kids learn something that I had loved before and shown some similarities to my math help class. It also helped me remember the importance of keeping our beaches clean and preserving our environment as it is so essential to our lives. It was an overall great experience but I also did struggle with handling younger kids. I gained a large amount of respect for teachers of really young grades as controlling and teaching a large group of various kids with a short attention span is very difficult.
