What did you do to work on your project?
Lately, I have been focusing on creating new designs and looking for skateboard donations so I can help.
How did you move it forward?
I moved forward by customizing a skateboard for Jack that will be available for anyone to use.
How hard is it to do that during this time?
For my case project, it’s not hard because I have everything at home so I can focus on the creativity part.
If that is tough, talk about what you are doing instead – show me your exercise routine! Show me your creativity!
I have been meditating which has really helped to concentrate and use my time wisely, this way I was able to create time to finish my project.
How are you adapting to the online school situation?
The online situation was interesting because it’s a time where my schedule is flexible and I have more time to focus on myself.
What opportunities have been created for you and how are you embracing being at home instead of at school?
I was talking to one of my friend’s dad that is the owner of two local stores around my area and he really liked the idea of helping kids in my community with skateboards because his daughter is one of the skaters. He was telling me how we should create a donation center in his store so we could obtain as much skateboarding supply as possible so we could help the kids here.
What threats have come up?
The main threat to my cas project is not being able to visit the skatepark as much because of covid and not being able to communicate.
How are you dealing with them? What tactics are you taking to make sure that these do not bog you down and slow your progress?
I have been realizing that talking to some parents of kids that like to skateboard is a way to communicate to the older demographic that are able to help me. This method is much safer and more effective.
