A SMART goal is a goal that is specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely. I have created 2 of these goals one for each of my projects this year.
Competition Choreography:
S: Work with 1-3 dancers to create a choreography that they can perform at competitions.
M: Have a completed choreography that will receive a high score for the dancers participating.
A: Work with dancer(s) each week to teach and clean the solo. Work with my mentor (Gaby) to make this goal attainable.
R: This goal is relevant to my project of bringing arts to the community by giving the younger generation at my studio a chance to perform at competitions.
T: The choreography will be done by November so it can be ready to compete possibly in December and definitely in May.
Beachnuts Theater Production:
S: Choreograph the dances for their new theater production of Frozen.
M: To hopefully gain a wide audience at the showing of the production.
A: Spend 1-2 hours a week working with the groups teaching and practicing the choreography.
R: This is relevant to the goal of bringing arts to the community by combining dance with theater and allowing the show to be more interesting and elaborate.
T: Dedicate our time from October 25- December 8th and then again from January 8th- March 26 to working with the groups.
