Station Questions!

- To me CAS is way to benefit and get to know your community while also gaining some real life experience. I think that it’s something required by MEP and IB because it helps students have more clarity as to how their surrounding community works and how they can benefit it. Some available resources that can help my project succeed are the internet, my dad, our caretaker Jose Ali and anyone else with gardening knowledge.

- CAS has changed in several ways since COVID, for starters the community aspect of CAS isn’t as possible. A big part of CAS is interacting with your community but due to new corona regulations our projects need to be changed to work with the new dynamic of our communities. I do believe the communities needs have changed quite a bit because of our current situation. For example a large amount of people are now in need of food assistance, housing and other essentials.

- My project does make sense to continue although I need to make a few changes. I now think that my project can be even more helpful to our community as my goal is to provide families with a healthy source of food.

- The first steps would be to get the greenhouse ready to begin growing things and to have a clear plan of what I want to grow. This next week I will try to show progress by buying my materials and doing some more research for everything to move smoothly. I’m going to manage my time by trying to work on the first steps a bit everyday.

- My project won’t involve very much screen time since I will be working outside a majority of the time.
