Summer journal entry (Creativity)

Something that I did that was creative over the summer was learning new songs on my guitar. The songs I learned were No Blueberries- DPR IAN (feat. DPR LIVE & CL), also a little bit from the song Nerves (also by DPR IAN) and a few other ones. In the beginning, learning these songs was a challenge because I got a little confused with some parts but after practicing and listening a lot of times to the song I finally got it and learned to play it well.

 This experience I can connect it with one of the seven learning outcomes of CAS, which is “Demonstrates that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process” because I overcame the challenge of learning the rhythm and chords of the song. By learning these songs I became very happy and proud of myself and of the result of making it sound good. I really enjoyed playing this song. One of the IB learner profile traits that I used was Thinker because I used my creativity and my skills in music to learn and understand how to play the songs in my guitar, I also did my research by searching the chords through internet and covers of the song in guitars to see how others played it. All of this contributed to me learning the song well.
