First CAS reflection
TERRAZA. Scavenger hunt

Today was our first event where I was officially part of the Terraza team. We planned a Scavenger Hunt and today the event took place. It felt really good to see how all my ideas came together and successfully created a fun and active event for the youth of tamarindo and other communities. The scavenger hunt was super fun and it seemed like a lot of the kids really liked it and had a good time. About 30 kids showed up and that was amazing because this was the first event that I was a part of and it gave me hope and motivation to keep working harder in this event to be able to create a safe space for all this Youth. As the first event that I formed part of, I realized that I am really interested in working in this CAS project because seeing all these kids smiling while playing such a fun game around town showed me and made me understand that drugs and alcohol do not need to be involved for teenagers to have fun and I think that this is what Terraza is all about. I am really happy this event turned out to be successful because it seemed like having a Scavenger Hunt around a big town with a lot of kids would be dangerous and risky, however, everything turned out perfect and all the kids were able to leave Terraza with smiles on their faces and candy!
