The Future is Bright

My CAS project was inspired by my love of dance. I wanted to provide the opportunity for kids to express themselves and be given the chance to dance because when I was given the possibility it changed my life. Through this experience I can return the favor and inspire at least one kid and help them discover their passion. For this project, I will be collaborating with two classmates to supply dance classes and scholarships at ELEVATE Movement studio. Additionally, provide transportation and clothing to the CEPIA children. The outcome of this project may not affect the entire community directly but will be extremely beneficial for a few underprivileged children. They will learn life skills needed in the real world such as determination, confidence, cooperation, creativity, and personal responsibility, which I believe can change the community little by little. This project is important to me because dance has allowed me to tell my own story without expressing it verbally. Given the opportunity to provide the same to another kid makes me feel special and allows me to play a role in their growth. Providing new opportunities that they might not be able to encounter otherwise, is an amazing experience for me and my classmates, which will teach us countless lessons that will be used in our future.
