Ujubee has a Dream – A Wild Bee Reserve

The South African Minister of Mineral and Petroleum Resources has just announced his intention to evaluate the subsurface geology of the Karoo to determine if it holds commercially viable oil and gas reserves. If seismic investigations are suggestive, drilling and even fracking for oil would become a reality in this pristine landscape. Jenny's/Ujubee's dream of creating a Wild Bee Reserve was beginning to take form with her friend Franci's farm, Bloukrans Klein Bewarea in the Karoo being the first 1000 hectares. Surrounding Franci's farm are many other farms which could potentially be added to the reserve if they can be acquired and a suitable wildlife protection plan can be established. The owners of the other farms are all hunters. This could also be stemmed if a reserve was created.
