The Team of Hearts in the Ice have been in Cambridge Bay for a week meeting with local govn’t, community residents and Elders in what has been a most enriching and eye opening experience. The residents of Cambridge number are around 1700 prople. It was originally fishing and hunting that convinced the Inuit to settle in this location- which is at the southern end of Victoria Island, Nunavut. Wtih a storm having hit last night and into the morning of departure it is uncertain any flights are moving in and out so stay tuned.
