UPDATE JOURNAL ENTRY

In the past couple weeks I have meet with Vivian and finalized everything that way I am officially part of the C.A.S project and can begin my journey! I am excited to see where this project takes me and how it will lay out. As of now the plan seems to be that I will begin with doing some short simple practice recordings to test my pronunciation and changes in tone to keep the reading lively. In general I thought the best next steps while I wait are to read up on recording and certain tips they give because I am sure I will get nervous. This website: https://self-publishingschool.com/creating-audiobook-every-author-know/ shares tips on recording your own audiobooks and what to remember. According to Vivian and I’s last meeting once we are done practicing the words and tones I will begin my first book, a chapter book! I am very excited to do this because I will be creating these chapter books for the 5th graders which is my brothers class. Knowing that these audio books will serve a purpose to help students with dyslexia, reading difficulties or language barriers makes this project even more interesting. I will be able to see how these students use the audiobooks and as well hopefully how long they last, that way they fulfill their purpose and help as many students and teachers as possible. Overall I have a feeling of relief because I have a C.A.S project again and even better one that I will enjoy!
