Vacation Clean-Up

At the beginning of the Christmas Break, I planned a remote beach clean-up. I knew that it would not be an effective idea to plan a normal clean-up because of the pandemic, which is why I developed the idea of having the participants go wherever they wanted and at any time they wanted on December 5th. I also communicated with the high school administration to allow me to gift a homework flexibility pass so that I could organize a small competition for students in Chirripo. Unfortunately there was no participation from Chirripo students, however, I was surprised from seeing participation of other community members, younger students, and other people in the area, to which I also marketed the event. This was a nice experience as I planned a different event than I was used to planning before the pandemic, and it allowed me to open my mind to new things or changes. It was also an opportunity for me to start the break connecting to CAS, to make sure that I kept involved during break and continue reaching the goals for my project.
