Vacation Involvement wth CAS- Activity _ Grace Herman

December 30th, 2019: Typically on vacation, I find it difficult to establish a consistent exercise routine. It is defiantly one of my weakness, I tend to forget about exercise over the break and then all the sudden I feel disgusting and unhealthy. So as a challenge to myself I decided I would change this. Usually, my go-to exercise is running. I run with my dog Boulder because I don't always feel safe running alone. But at the beginning of the break, she hurt her leg and wasn't allowed to run with me so I had to come up with a new plan. I decided I would swim. I set a goal to swim at least three times a week for 30 mins+ and then work out for a bit after. And except for the first week of break, where I was in the US, I have been successful. I like to swim at around 8 p.m. This way I can't use hanging out with friends as an excuse. And I do feel stronger and healthier and am proud of myself. The best part is I can continue to swim in the school year. I have created a routine that fits my school schedule and my schedule during the break. And a routine that is making me stronger and healthier. Plus one that I enjoy.
