Vacation Service _ Grace Herman

April 16th, 2020 Service was a hard one for me over the break. How can you make a difference when you can't leave your house? So I tried to make a difference in my house. With my whole family staying home all the time there was a lot more cleaning to be done. So we have had to work together to keep it clean. I've done a lot of kitchen cleaning. After dinner every night, a deep clean on Saturday and occasionally during the day. I've done my best to try not to complain and do what I can to help out my family, plus it is very satisfying to finish something like cleaning the kitchen in times like these. I've worked with my brother to do this and from the couple of times I had to do it by myself I can say there are some serious benefits to working collaboratively, it is more fun and way faster. I know this is a small act of service towards my family but it has been helpful and made a difference in my now very small community. Additionally, throughout this time I have engaged in the issue of global importance that is the coronavirus. I had done my best to play my part by staying away from other and social distancing playing my part in flattening the curve.
